The valley’s awash in summer visitors with many toting bicycles as part of their outdoor adventure gear. Since cyclists have many types of rides in and around the valley, I’ve put together a happy half dozen to consider whether you are looking for some single track, a rail trail or a road ride.
The Mountain Division Trail is a family-friendly 4-mile paved pathway in Fryeburg, Maine, with parking at the Maine Visitor Center just over the New Hampshire border on Route 302. The trail run parallels with its namesake railroad, the pleasant multi-use pathway with mountain views is a delightful rolling ride with seasonal wildflowers and chances to spot wildlife.
