To the editor:I just got home from a trip to Disney World, or as I like to call it, Story Land on steroids. I picked up a week's worth of mail and there it was, my tax bill, I really didn't want to open it but I knew I had to. Almost a $500 increase over last year. I know it's my fault for building a new home two years ago, just trying to improve my lifestyle. I now have a two-car garage and a bigger lot. Why shouldn't I and my family be punished ? I love where I live in Bartlett. In the edge of the forest out at Stillings Grant. When I first moved here from Intervale back in 1991, I paid less than a $1,000 dollars a year. My new bill is almost $2,900, up from $2,400 last year. All I want to know is why? Wouldn't it be nice if we could just say 'no way' to the powers that be? Now I know how the people in North Conway must feel.
