After the defeat of longtime Conway selectmen’s chair David Weathers to newcomer Ryan Shepard, Mary Carey Seavey was elected chairman by her peers this week. Selectmen have been embroiled in many complex and controversial issues over the past few years, including sign and STR enforcement, paid parking, short-term rentals and public bathrooms. The town is also overhauling its master plan, plus dealing with a lack of housing and a hotel moratorium.
