Tuesday is Election Day, and the campaign season has showcased both the best and worst o0f what it takes to win an election. Campaigning is at its best when candidates engage with voters through forums, interviews and house visits, sharing their views and giving people a chance to get to know them. It is at its worst when voters are bombarded with negative mailers and TV commercials — much of it funded by PACs and, in fairness to the candidates, often beyond their control.
There were 12 responses via email, voicemail and Facebook to this week’s Tele-Talk question: If you could send one message to those elected Tuesday, what would you want them to know when they take office?
