BOW — Oh-so-close! The Kennett High girls’ soccer team was six minutes away from forcing a penalty-kick shootout against Bow in Saturday's Division II quarterfinals. The host Falcons scored the lone goal with six minutes left in the second overtime period.

“It was an epic effort by these girls,” said Scott Laine, Eagles’ head coach. “We went to the second overtime period; every single girl gave it their all. We played total team defense and almost got one a few times, but in the end Bow got the golden goal with 6 minutes left of the second overtime.”
