A pedestrian in Ossipee was killed on Route 25 Tuesday, and two people were hit while crossing sidewalks this week in separate incidents in Wolfeboro. These are the latest in a string of pedestrian-related accidents the area has experienced in the past year, including a man killed on Route 16 near Mineral Springs in November. Conway Planning Board Chairman Ben Colbath is looking for people to serve on a newly formed pedestrian safety committee. Meanwhile, Jessica Savini of Conway, is collecting donations of reflective clothing and headlamps, and those items are available at not cost to those who need them at The Sun and other locations.

This week’s Tele-Talk question is: What do you suggest be done to reduce pedestrian deaths and injuries?
