To the editor:On Dec. 23, 2008, staff from Aeropostale arrived at Head Start and presented our children with a snuggly teddy bear wearing a hat and scarf with the Aeropostale logo. What a treat! The store had contacted us earlier to arrange a date, and was just as excited to come and give the 48 bears, as the children were to get them! We had enough for each of our 20 children and their siblings! We hear so much about tough times, and dwindling budgets, that we wanted to share this act of generosity, and support to our program! Our thanks go to Aeropostale for the wonderful (and soft) bears, and for doing their part to show their care for the community.
