To the editor:

Before the recent explosion of news concerning Donald Trump’s pardons, most people realized that justice was not blind nor even nearsighted. Obviously, people of means can hire lawyers and get out of jail by paying bail, whereas the poor may get a public defender, if charged with a felony, while being confined to jail pending trial if they have no bail money.
