To the editor:

Should the state make widening Route 16 in Albany a priority? It’s a question worth asking if you’re concerned with the epidemic level of deaths on U.S. roads. In 2020, an estimated 42,060 people died due to car crashes (with an additional 4.8 million roadway users “only” seriously injured), according to the National Safety Council.
