To the editor:

As a novice XC skier and avid dog walker, I do understand Sally McMurdo’s problem with “bare booting”; however, she needs to realize that not everyone skis. Some people have physical disabilities that may prevent them from skiing. Older people who enjoy being outside in the woods should have that right, and we are fortunate that Whittaker Woods provides that.
