This is not the final version of letter that was submitted and agreed upon with the Editor. Taking the knee is a silent protest to the perception of injustice, much like raising a fist by Olympians. Which, Griner is and Whelan is not. However, preying on your fellow servicemembers and receiving a dishonorable discharge from military service to be used as a springboard to conducting business in Russia for over a decade is highly suspect of becoming an asset, which Griner is not, but Whelan quit possibly is. Your conclusion is yours to behold, but do not be a bigot based on race and gender.

Second: If he is such a shame on his uniform and the Marines, why do the Russians think he is so important or a spy?
Lastly: Where are the public display of gratitude and appreciation for her Country and its efforts to get her home? Or, will she continue to show her disdain as she has so many times in the past by "taking a knee" during the National Anthem?
If so, I think we can draw our own opinions about her honor and integrity.
