Compared to the nasty 1st District congressional battles between Frank Guinta and Carol Shea-Porter of the last four elections, the race between Democrat Chris Pappas and Republican Eddie Edwards is a refreshing change in tone.

It sounds quaint, if not dated in this era of divisive politics, but what we’ve learned in interviews with the candidates from their visits to the Sun is that each is sincere, civil and very likable.
