Scott and I returned yesterday from Chebeague Island, where we worked on house and yard projects before welcoming two houseguests.

Scott's first order of business was replacing a broken ceiling fan/light in a guest bedroom. A gifted electrician, he's well versed in all manner of fixture installation and repair, and thus adeptly switched out the fans with little effort — until discovering that somehow the new fan's wiring had become crossed with that of our bedroom fan.
