Astrophysicists and cosmologists have competing theories about how the universe will end. Some think there is enough dark matter in the universe to generate the gravitational pull necessary to have our currently expanding universe slow down and begin to collapse, causing a Big Crunch. The universe shrinks to a tiny point and perhaps a new Big Bang occurs and the whole thing starts over.

I don’t think so. No one really has any idea how much dark matter there is (it’s dark), and they’re just hoping for a big finale and a fresh start.
