CONCORD — U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) will spend the day in the North Country Wednesday kicking off off her trek with a visit to Cranmore Mountain in North Conway at 10:30 a.m. to tour their facilities and discuss the New Hampshire's tourism industry which supports a countless number of jobs in the state.

The industry is the state's second largest, and direct spending by New Hampshire visitors was $4.48 billion in 2012, producing more than $151 million in revenue for the state through meals and rooms taxes.
