CONWAY — The first real snowstorm of the season dumped from 3-7 inches of heavy wet snow on the Mount Washington Valley on Tuesday morning. It was more snow than originally forecast, but motorists handled it fairly well, and school was in session as scheduled.

“I’m sure my popularity rating took a hit with some people,” said Superintendent Kevin Richard of the decision not to call off or delay school by two hours.
