CONWAY — The leaves are just past peak foliage here in the White Mountains, and the summit of Mount Washington received plowable snow this week, providing “snoliage (snow + foliage)” in the higher elevations of Pinkham, Crawford and Francia Notch.

To most skiers, these are signs that it’s time to reset the mind clock from autumn pursuits and start thinking about the not-too-distant upcoming ski season.
