CONWAY — Selectmen are urging the public to lobby state representatives to vote for House Bill 1254, which would allow towns like Conway to charge a fee on lodging establishments to pay for costs associated with tourism.

While some Republicans in Concord have taken issue with the bill, local Republicans spoke in favor of it Tuesday at the Conway selectmen’s meeting.
