CONWAY — On Tuesday morning, a four-man crew from Knowles Industrial of Gorham, Maine, installed the first of two replacement columns at the front façade of the Conway Public Library.

Led by Scott Burgoin, Knowles’ project superintendent, and using a forklift boom, the crew maneuvered the first 5,500-pound, 13.6-foot cast stone column into place.
