BARTLETT — Voters will get to decide the fate of a public integrated preschool when they head to the annual school meeting on March 6 at 6:30 p.m. in the Josiah Bartlett Elementary School's gymnasium. It has been the most talked about of the six articles on this year’s warrant. It appears as Article 1.

About 23 people, many connected to the Bartlett Community Preschool, turned out to the JBES cafeteria Feb. 6 for the Bartlett School Board’s public hearing on the warrant. Nearly an hour was spent discussing the preschool with some calling for it “to even the playing field," while others questioned the cost and need since “it’s not state mandated.”
