LIVERMORE — About 48 years after the killing of a 22-year-old North Conway woman, the New Hampshire State Police Cold Case Unit is seeking the public’s help to solve the case.

State Police shared information about the homicide of Shari Roth, 22, on its Facebook Page on Thursday. Roth left her home on Sunday  Aug. 21, 1977 to hike  on the Sawyer Brook Trail in Livermore between Bartlett and Lincoln. “She did not return home and was reported missing that evening by friends,” said State Police. “Her body was discovered on Wednesday, August 24, 1977. An autopsy indicated that she had been strangled to death.”
