CONWAY — Kelley Murphy, who has been the face of the teacher education program at Kennett High for decades, is now the school’s new Extended Learning Opportunities program coordinator. She was unanimously approved for the new job by the Conway School Board on Monday.

Murphy takes the baton from fellow Kennett graduate Christine Thompson, who created the ELO program nine years ago. Thompson, who has served as interim director of the MWV Career and Technical Center since March, also has a new job. She has been hired as the first KHS dean of student programming and career and technical education (see related story).
