FRYEBURG, Maine — According to MSAD 72 School Superintendent Jay Robinson, the fact that an oil tank that sits under C.A. Snow School was listed as "removed" prior to a town vote authorizing the sale of the school to Fryeburg for $1 was simply an error.

"So, when the tank was decommissioned many, many moons ago, it should have been reported to the state as 'abandoned in place' instead of 'removed,'" Robinson said in a phone interview Tuesday.
