JACKSON — Molly Della Valla, 17, of Jackson, who learned last month that she was one of 625 semifinalists in the U.S. Presidential Scholars Program, got even better news last week: U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona announced last Thursday that she has been selected as a 2024 U.S. Presidential Scholar in career and technical education.

Molly, who recently committed to attend Yale to study bioengineering and policy, is homeschooled.
