CONWAY — With the New England Ski Museum once again sponsoring a celebration of the Mount Washington Valley’s ski history, local fourth-graders will board the Conway Scenic Railroad on Tuesday and Wednesday for a re-enactment exercise that brings to life the arrival of Austrian skimeister Hannes Schneider to the valley in 1939.
The train ride and subsequent visit to the museum and the North Conway Community Center. Students will be guided through three learning projects, satisfy a unit of elementary school curriculum focusing on the history of New Hampshire.
