CONWAY — A change of heart led Mark Hounsell to announce Monday night that instead of retiring from the Conway School Board in April as he had announced to his colleagues he intended to do on Dec. 13, he will in fact run for re-election. The longtime public servant said serving on the school board “is a love” he’s not ready to let go of yet, and he believes he can still make a difference.
Under the second public comment portion of Monday’s meeting, Hounsell asked board Chairman Joe Lentini if he could read a prepared statement. Lentini gave him the green light.
