FRYEBURG — After eight days, Maine’s Fall Blue Ribbon Classic, the Fryeburg Fair, came to a close Sunday night after garnering its best paid attendance in seven years, according to Fair President Roy Andrews, with overall paid attendance reaching 170,614, up 3,776 from 2016 and the most since 2010, when 172,605 came.

“We had a great fair; the weather was mostly good, and we didn’t have a lot of major mishaps, so we are happy,” said Andrews, 76.
