CONWAY — Here’s an overview of local happenings leading up to Halloween

• Friday and Saturday: Experience the Ghoullog and Haunted Playground at Cranmore Mountain Resort, North Conway. Tonight’s a “Lights Out!” special presentation. For younger kids, Haunted Playground offers plenty of tamer Halloween family fun. Ride the Mountain Coaster, Giant Swing and Soaring Eagle Zip line. • Through Sunday, Oct. 29: The Corn Maize at the Sherman Farm on East Conway Road in East Conway offers “agritainment” daily, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. This year’s pays tribute to the 2016-17 NFL champion New England Patriots’ Tom Brady. • Saturday: Parsonsfield Seminary invites you to the 11th annual “The Haunting.” The Seminary closed in 1949, but they didn't all leave! Traverse the historic 42-room building plus walk-out basement. • Oct. 31: Safe Old Fashioned Community Trick or Treat Block Party 4-6 p.m. in Jackson for kids 13 and under accompanied by parent or guardian. Register your pumpkin in the Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce’s Spooky Carved Pumpkin Contest. Join the Spooktacular Costume Parade and play follow the leader through town.
