EFFINGHAM FALLS — For the first time in recent memory, and possibly in state history, two local historical societies have worked together to create complimentary exhibits.

After a year of collaborative efforts, the Freedom and Effingham Historical Societies are both presenting exhibits on “The History of Effingham Falls,” which opened May 25 and run through Oct. 12, which feature the businesses, heritage and history on each town’s side of the Ossipee River falls.
