CONWAY — In 2004, Tom Buco became the first Democrat to represent Carroll County in the N.H. House of Representatives since 1982. Since then, he has served nine terms, but on Tuesday he said this will his last. On the eve of the 10-day filing period for state and country offices opening, Buco said Tuesday by phone that “it’s time for someone else to run” for the District I seat.
“I want to thank all of the voters in the district for the extraordinary privilege of representing them,” Buco said, adding: “From 2004, it’s been 20 years, and I’ve been lucky to serve nine terms. At this point, I think it’s time for someone else to do it.”
