CONWAY — “I know it will cost us more down the road, but this is not the year for this board to be adding another $1 million project,” Randy Davison told his fellow Conway School Board members last week when they ultimately decided 7-0 against pursuing a lease-to-own liquid propane boiler setup for Kennett High School on the school warrant.

The board sent a proposed operating budget of $40,109,103 to the budget committee last month and is bringing forward more than $3 million in articles, including one for $2.34 million to replace a section of roof at Kennett High, some windows at Conway Elementary and concrete work at Kennett Middle.
