JACKSON – One of the more historic trails in the 154-kilometer Jackson Ski Touring Foundation network is preserved in perpetuity thanks to the generosity of a local couple. Myles and Christine Crowe have donated a permanent easement for a section of the Jackson Village Trail, part of a set of trails known collectively as “The Village Trails,” including the trailhead which is located between Yesterday’s Restaurant and Badger Real Estate.

The Jackson Village Trail includes both cross country skiing and snowshoe paths, and the Village Trails as a whole are extremely important for new skiers and for visitors who come to enjoy an “inn-to-inn” touring experience.  In addition, the Village Trails’ terrain includes some of the Mt. Washington Valley’s original “Thorn Mountain” ski trails, dating back to the 1930s.
