CONWAY — Police say they found the man who tried offering a boy a ride home on Sunday afternoon and found there was no ill intent. The boy became alarmed and reported the incident to police.

According to Conway police logs, the incident allegedly took place just before 1:30 p.m. in the area of the railroad tracks on Route 16 in Conway Village near Kennett Middle School. The boy  reported that he was approached by a man driving a dark blue Chevrolet pickup who allegedly offered the boy a ride home and told him he could get warm in his truck. The man appeared to be in his 50s. The man was described as clean-shaven and wearing a winter hat. The truck was "very rusty" and had black netting in the back.
