Celebrate Chinook Day at the Tamworth History Center, Saturday, Feb. 16, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Watch the short 1930s film “Chinook’s Children” from the early 1930s, to celebrate the legacy of Arthur Walden of Wonalancet and his famous sled dog Chinook, father of a long line of fine sled dogs. If you miss the showing of “Chinooks Children” there are a few versions available on YouTube.

Also on Feb. 16, the Remick Museum and Farm’s annual Ice Harvest and Winter Carnival next door. Their hours are the same. Make a day of it.
