Saturday, May 11, is a special day for Chocorua conservation. Chocorua Mountain Club (which merged into Chocorua Lake Conservancy) will be hosting to annual Trail Clearing Day and Dinner Meet at the Grove at 9 a.m. and from there go on assigned Mount Chocorua trails to clear debris and make them safe for hikers. Go on chocorualake.org/events for more information and to register. Celebrate later with dinner at Runnells Hall at 6:30 p.m. Bring appetizers, a side dish or dessert if you can. BYOB. Trail crews will report on the state of the trails.
