The Tamworth History Center is hosting a Chinook exhibit featuring the famous dog born and bred in Wonalancet by explorer Arthur Walden on Saturday from 10 a.m-2 p.m. Exhibit topics include: early days in Wonalancet; dog sledding in New England; the 1928 Antarctic Expedition; the Chinook breed, now New Hampshire’s state dog; and the statue of Chinook on the History Center’s front lawn.
