Waiting is something no one likes to do. And yet wait we do. Whether standing in line for a simple coffee, while those lined up ahead are ordering those complex drinks that involve things like grinding, steaming and frothing, waiting drives up our blood pressure and sorely tests our patience. You wonder out loud to no one in particular why there isn’t an express lane for the quick and simple orders like yours.

There is much involuntary waiting that happens too, all too often in city traffic or at busy airports when the dreaded word "delayed" blinks inexplicably down from the departures screen.
