Tamworth Caregivers recently sought local student art for a series of cards and was overwhelmed by the quality of the submissions. In the end, six were selected to be made into the cards. "But we were left with 16 fine images," Tamworth Caregiver board member Peggy Johnson said, "so we decided to make gift tags with those. Everybody in town will have a chance to see and buy and share all of the art in reproduced form."The colorful, all-occasion cards feature the art of Juliana Beecher (home school); Leah Burke, Alexis Jacques and Karl Simon (Kenneth A. Brett); Lizzie Henle (Tamworth Learning Circles); and Nick Maher-Coville (Bearcamp Valley School). They were printed by Independent Color Press. The gift tags feature the art of Shawn Beattie, Derek Rudy Bliss, Andrew Bonica, Ben Brown, Beth Flood-Fairlamb, Jamie Greene, Fiona Howell, Erica Perry, Amelia Simmons, Sianna Streeter, Brenna Thompson, Adam Wright and Hannah Wright. "They are fantastic!" says board member Lindy Gray. The Caregiver Cards and gift tags are being sold at The Other Store in Tamworth. The blank cards and tags are appropriate for any occasion and celebrate the work of younger local artists all year long.
