EFFINGHAM — This summer, the Green Mountain Conservation Group is seeking participation from local residents, businesses and town facilities for a study of drinking water resources in the Ossipee Watershed towns of Eaton, Effingham, Freedom, Madison, Ossipee, Sandwich and Tamworth.

The study is being undertaken in partnership with Dr. Robert Newton and Smith College’s Center for Aqueous Biogeochemistry Research. The objective is to examine the impact of land use on groundwater and surface water chemistry.
