EFFINGHAM — All are invited to enjoy a personal and unique perspective on honey bees at the Effingham Public Library’s weekly coffee hour on Wednesday, Jan. 7 at 10 a.m. Athena Contus, well-known throughout Northern New Hampshire as an educator and the proprietress of Athena’s Bees, will be the featured speaker.

Contus, a Cornell University Master Beekeeper and instructor of Beekeeping through Carroll County Adult Education, has been keeping bees in the Sandwich Mountain Range for 18 years.
