Joyce Laverne Siracuse passed away peacefully at her home on Sept. 20, 2022, surrounded by her family, after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. She was 74. Joyce was born on June 12, 1948, in Fresno, Calif., the daughter of Robert and Ruth Beach.

After making South Hiram, Maine, her home in the 1970s, Joyce earned a bachelor of arts from the University of Southern Maine, an associate's degree in cardiovascular technology from the Southern Maine Community College, and pursued a career as a certified registered medical nursing assistant.
