CONWAY — The Conway community gained a new church Oct. 30 as Next Level Church launched its eighth location.
Both adults and children gathered for occasion as the church at North Conway Community Center at 78 Norcross Circle in North Conway. The church experience consisted of high-energy worship with a live band, a relevant and practical message from lead pastor, Joshua Gagnon, and a safe and fun New Level Church kids' environment where children learned about God in an engaging way.
Next Level Church started eight years ago with just 12 people and has grown rapidly, recently being named by Outreach Magazine as one of the 100 fastest-growing churches in America for the third consecutive year in 2016. The church encourages people to "come as they are," with the philosophy that church should be fun, exciting, understandable and relevant to real-life situations.
According to Gagnon: "We started Next Level Church with the belief that people didn't object to the message of Jesus, but rather to the way they had experienced church in the past as judgmental, boring or hypocritical. We have found that to be right. When a church is fun, casual and shares Jesus in a way people can relate to, people love it."
In just eight years, Next Level Church has grown to thousands in attendance across eight locations in the Northeast: Epping; Pembroke; Saco, Maine; Salisbury, Mass.; Saratoga Springs, N.Y.; Somersworth; Worcester, Mass.; and now Conway. At every location, there is a live band and special kids' environments, where people can experience the message of the Bible in a casual, inviting atmosphere no matter where they are in life.
Next Level Church meets every Sunday at 9:30 a.m. at the North Conway Community Center. For more information, visit www.nlc.tv or email conway@nlc.tv.
