Cranmore Family Fitness Center has announced the launch of new programs and classes for fall. In addition to new fitness classes, a revamped spinning program and sports leagues, Cranmore has added new staff to both personal training and massage. Programs are being redesigned to accommodate early morning exercisers and parents with children who can take advantage of expanded daycare hours. Also, the date has been set for the 2008 Open House. Members and non-members alike are invited to join Cranmore Family Fitness Center from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 18, for a complimentary sampling of fitness programs and workshops.New classes to the fall fitness schedule include Zumba, TKB and kids-'robics. Zumba is the infusion of Latin and international rhythms with a mix of fast and slow music that helps tone and sculpt. TKB, the total kickboxing workout, will be taught by returning instructor Lori Chandler beginning Oct. 15. This class has a strong beat and choreography that builds each class, making it a high intensity workout that even a newcomer can follow. Parents of 2-4 year olds can get moving with kids-'robics on Tuesday mornings from 10 to 11 a.m. In addition, winter conditioning classes return Oct. 14 with two new early morning sessions. This popular class runs Monday and Wednesday 6 to 7:30 a.m., Tuesday and Thursday 5:30 to 7 p.m., and Saturdays from 9 to 10:30 a.m.Cranmore Family Fitness Center is hosting three workshops run by Johnny G Spinning on Saturday, Nov. 1: heart rate training, the interval energy zone and race day training. For more information on these workshops, go to www.spinning.com.The indoor tennis courts will be transformed for dodgeball and floor hockey competition beginning Nov. 2. For kids, birthday party packages now include an inflatable bouncy house and 65 foot obstacle course. Other options include exclusive use of the indoor pool, climbing wall, tennis court and gymnastics studio and use of a party room. With "concierge service" for parties, Cranmore will orchestrate the entire event for families.Cranmore Family Fitness Center welcomes Amanda Wirling and Sandra Mercurio, both Aerobics and Fitness Association of America certified with several years of experience, to the personal training team. Also, two massage therapists have been added to the full service massage offering. Tamara Wood is a newly licensed New Hampshire massage therapist and Kara Rayder is offering yoga massage and phoenix rising toga therapy.
