Sharon Bogess, M.Ed., continues on-going multi-level yoga classes at Silver Lake Massage at 1527 Old Village Road in Madison. The classes are held on Tuesday and Saturday mornings from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Studies have shown that yoga can enhance one's mode and overall sense of wellbeing as well as lead to inproved balance, flexibility, range of motion and strength. Â Yoga may also reduce risk factors for chronic diseases and help alleviate depression, pain, anxiety and insomnia. Classes begin with meditative centering, breathing exercises and warm-up. Â Each class is a sequence of postures that stretch, strengthen and balance the body. Â The sessions end with relaxation and meditation. Â Bogess is known for her ability to create a safe, nourishing environment; promoting the use of props, and/or suggesting modifications when appropriate. Â For a limited time, newcomers may buy a month's worth of classes for $30 valid from June 17 to July 12. Wear loose and comfortable clothes. Standard fees are: drop in $12, or one may purchase a 10 class coupon book for $100 with no expiration date. Â For more information call Sharon at 367-9911.
