BRIDGTON, Maine — The second annual Joseph Wikler Memorial Mixed Open Doubles Tournament took place the weekend of July 21-22. This year’s draw consisted of 13 teams, and the level of play was high throughout the day, according to Bridgton Highlands Tennis Director Justin Chaffee.

In the first semifinal match of the main draw, the mother and son duo of JB Estes and Grace Wang overcame Jose Azel and Anna Romer.  In the second semifinal, Dave Chaffee and Carol Kelley battled by John Waldie and Donna Hennesey.  Both teams carried their momentum into the finals, but the tandem of Estes/Wang were able to raise their games to capture the championship.
