HARRISON — Enough signatures were collected to place an article on the June town election ballot to allow voters to decide whether Harrison will request withdrawal from the SAD 17 school district.

Select Board member Deb Kane reported at last week’s meeting that the Harrison Educational Options Committee obtained the required number of signatures of 10% of voters from the last gubernatorial election and presented the request to the select board to put an article on the June ballot as outlined in the Maine statute to request withdrawal from a district.
