The American Cancer Societys Daffodil Days are about to blossom across New Hampshire, as local residents prepare to welcome spring, while bringing hope to cancer patients and their families.Nearly 100 Hannaford supermarkets in New England are collaborating with the American Cancer Society this year to make Daffodil Days a success. Starting Thursday, March 22, and continuing until Sunday, March 25, or until supplies last, daffodils will be available for purchase at all Hannaford markets in New Hampshire. A bouquet of 10 daffodils is $7.The daffodil is the first flower of spring and the flower of hope for cancer patients and their families. Purchasing daffodils for friends, customers, and employees can brighten their days, desks, or dinner tables, and the proceeds help fund the American Cancer Societys mission to eliminate cancer as a major health problem through research, education, advocacy, and patient service programs. FedEx is sponsoring Daffodil Days this year by delivering flowers to approximately 350 locations statewide. The American Cancer Society is dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by saving lives, diminishing suffering, and preventing cancer through research, education, advocacy, and service.
