Charles F. ORourke, 68, of Bartlett, died June 18 at Memorial Hospital in North Conway following a long illness. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., the son of Charles and Kathleen Watson ORourke, he lived in Massapequa, Long Island, N.Y. for eight years, in Rivervale, N.J. for 16 years and in Nashua for four years before moving to Bartlett in 1996.He graduated from St. Francis Preparatory in Greenpoint, N.J. and from City College of New York in New York City.He served in the U.S. Navy from 1953 to 1957 and was a retired accountant, having worked at Kinney Motors Chevrolet in Brooklyn, N.Y. and Jim Smith Chevrolet in Spring Valley, N.Y. He also worked at Christmas Farm Inn in Jackson as an accountant for six years prior to his illness.The family includes: his wife of 45 years, Carol; son, Charles and his wife Donna of Mahwah, N.J.; and brother, Donald of Hauppage, N.Y.A mass of Christian burial is scheduled Monday at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of the Mountains Church in North Conway. Burial is in St. Josephs Cemetery in Bartlett. Visiting hours are Sunday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Furber and White Funeral Home in North Conway.Donations may be sent to Harvest Hills Animal Shelter Inc., Route 302, Fryeburg, Maine 04037.
