CONWAY — Beth Phelps has joined Memorial Hospital's community relations and development department in the role of development manager. In this new role, she will focus on planned giving, donor events and grant writing. Phelps has extensive experience in non-profit management and development, most recently as stewardship manager for the Mount Washington Observatory in North Conway. She previously served in management roles for Loon Echo Land Trust, the Girl Scouts of Maine and Boston Natural Areas Network.
"Beth will bring a great deal of energy to the role of Development Manager and has a great reputation for developing strong donor relations through stewardship efforts. She will work closely with our CEO Scott McKinnon and our board of trustees to help bring our mission of community health to the forefront in the Mount Washington Valley and surrounding community." said Kathy Bennett, vice president of community relations and development. "Individual donations are critical to our on-going ability to support community health, so keeping these supporters engaged in our work is crucial to our existence. Beth brings a wealth of knowledge in charitable giving and a passion for the work we do in the community."
