POLAND SPRING, ME – Poland Spring has named Ferry Beach Ecology School as its 2010 “Natural Leader Award” recipient. The award, given annually in recognition of accomplishments that make Maine a better place to live and work was presented to the Saco non-profit at a special annual luncheon honoring the 72 Maine causes and organizations that received Poland Spring Good Neighbor Grant funding in 2009. Last year, Poland Spring gave more than $850,000 in community grants.

Poland Spring honored Ferry Beach Ecology School for its hands-on environmental education programs for young people that focus on the science of ecology and the daily practice of sustainability.
